"Nothing was done to us - we were simply placed in a complete void, and everyone knows that nothing on earth exerts such pressure on the human soul as a void."

Duende Tiyatro is adapting 'The Royal Game' (the last work of Austrian author Stefan Zweig who took his life in 1942 in Brasil where he was residing as a refugee) with a contemporary interpretation.

The play investigates the inner world of Dr. B, a character who has been imprisoned in a hotel room during World War II, through movement as well as the text.

Zweig questions the similarities of fascism between a personal level, in the context of two persons, and a sociological level, in the context of millions of people lead to misery.
